Our annual friendship series with the Albany Bombers returns November 4 & 5th in Albany, NY.

There will be 2 games, with the first having mixed teams from Boston and Albany (Saturday at 7pm). The second game will be each respective organization’s squad (Sunday at 12pm).

The Chelsea Challenge is an adult LGBTQ+ and ally-friendly ice hockey tournament hosted by the New York City Gay Hockey Association. The tournament welcomes all players and attracts participants from organizations around the globe.

BPH is currently surveying interest for all divisions. Here are the details:

• If you’re interested in participating, please submit your interest form via the link below by Tuesday, April 4.

• We’ll use the data collected to determine how many teams we’ll be sending and at what levels.

• Players will be contacted by tournament leads for registration next steps on or around April 5.

The annual Boston Pride Hockey (BPH) x New York City Gay Hockey Association (NYCGHA) Friendship Series is back for 2023! We’re excited to host NYCGHA for a mixed-team and competitive city-versus-city set of games in Boston’s historic North End.

Schedule of Events:

• Saturday, February 18: 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM (Mixed Scrimmage)

• Saturday, February 18: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Bruins vs. Islanders Watch Party; Hurricane’s at TD Garden). Complementary appetizers and Pizza will be served. Cash Bar.

• Sunday, February 19: 11:20 AM - 12:50 AM (Boston vs. NYCGHA)

In 2022, we set out to fill a gap in the LGBT+ hockey tournament rotation by returning to the root of the game: the joy of playing outdoors on a pond with friends. After a successful first edition, we are proud to expand the tournament to LGBT+ players across the United States and Canada. This year we are partnering with other organizations, donors, and sponsors to bring you a truly spectacular event.

There will be two games, with the first having mixed teams from Boston and Albany (Saturday at 8pm). The second game will be each respective organization’s squad (Sunday at 2pm).

Saturday evening, we will be hosted by Broken Records Beer Hall across from Warrior Ice Arena from 9pm onward. Complementary small bites will be served with a cash bar of beer and wine. We will have a private area set aside with shuffleboard tables to relax and unwind while meeting new friends!

Introducing The Frozen Unicorn—a BPH Pond Hockey Jamboree. We’re headed into the New England outdoors for the first-ever BPH pond hockey tournament across a three-day event in January 2022. Interested in playing? Sign up below!

Details:

• 4v4 tournament with 5 teams of 6, selected jamboree style. Games will be 30 minutes, with two 15 minute halves.

• Each team is guaranteed 5 games, with the possibility of 7.

• Due to the incredible amount of interest we have so far, we are now limiting registration to current BPH members. Want to join BPH? Check out one of our Thursday night scrimmages here.

• Team draft & kick off party on Friday, January 28th in Newbury, NH at 8:30pm.

• Games will be 8am-4:15pm on Saturday, January 29th, and conclude by noon on Sunday, January 30th on Chalk Pond in Newbury, NH.

• Breakfast and dinner will be provided both days.

• Registration Fee: $50

• Attendees and players are required to be fully vaccinated AND boosted against COVID-19.

With the Canadian border opening for fully vaccinated Americans, The Montreal Dragons will be hosting the Canada Cup October 8-10, 2021.
